Mount Prospect property management
One Point Property Management manages rental homes throughout Mount Prospect, including the single-family neighborhoods around Lions Park, the condo buildings along Golf and Elmhurst Roads, and the downtown blocks near the Metra station. We are based in Hoffman Estates, about twenty minutes west.
- Downtown and Randhurst Village give renters a walkable center and a Metra UP-NW station
- Mid-century ranches and split-levels with yards are the village's core rental stock
- Districts 57, 26, 59 and 214 serve the village
Mount Prospect is a village of mid-century single-family homes: brick ranches, split-levels and Cape Cods from the 1950s and 1960s on tree-lined streets, most within a short drive of downtown or Randhurst Village. It also has a large stock of condominium buildings along Golf Road, Elmhurst Road and Central Road that lease to singles, couples and retirees who want a smaller footprint near the train.
Renters choose Mount Prospect for the schools, the downtown and the commute. District 57’s Lions Park and Fairview neighborhoods, District 26 to the north, District 59 to the south and District 214’s Prospect High School all draw families who rent for a few years before buying nearby.
What drives demand here
The Metra Union Pacific Northwest station downtown, the Kensington Business Center and easy access to O’Hare and I-90 through Elmhurst Road and Route 83. Randhurst Village gives the village a shopping and dining center.

Before you rent out a home in Mount Prospect
Cook County’s Residential Tenant and Landlord Ordinance applies to most rentals in the village. Condo associations frequently require lease approval and set minimum lease terms. We check both before listing.
Questions Mount Prospect owners ask.
What does property management cost?
A monthly management fee as a percentage of collected rent, plus a leasing fee when we place a new resident. There are no hidden charges; the full fee schedule is in the management agreement before you sign. Request a proposal and you will have the numbers for your specific home within one business day.
Where do you manage property?
The northwest suburbs of Chicago: Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Palatine, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Rolling Meadows, Elgin, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Mundelein and the surrounding communities in Cook, Kane, Lake and McHenry Counties. If your home is nearby but not on the list, ask.
How quickly will my home rent?
A well-presented home priced to current leases in its attendance area usually has qualified applications within the first two weeks. The biggest variables are price, condition and season. We tell you before listing what each choice will likely cost in days on market.
My home is in an association. Can it be rented?
Often yes, but the declaration has to be read first. Some associations cap the number of rentals, set minimum lease terms or require board approval and a move-in fee. We review the documents before listing and handle the approval as part of leasing.
